Sum Wai Ying

Ideation & Co-Creation

Waiying leads ideation and co-creation projects across the Group. She joined TRCL in May 2016. She graduated from National University of Singapore in 2006 with a BBA and has more than ten years of experience in the areas of strategic planning and new business development in the private and public sectors. She was previously with Singapore Tourism Board from 2010 – 2016 and was involved in building industry relations to drive investment promotion and partnership development for Singapore’s attractions and MICE industries.

Dennis Lim

Head, Projects

Dennis has over 30 years of experience in business management and operations, training and development, arts and events management and running of F&B and retail outlets. Dennis has managed several arts Centers, including The Old Parliament House, Old Hill Street Police Station, Sculpture Square, Goodman Arts Centre and Aliwal Arts Centre, overseeing P&L, facilities and event management. He has also regional project experience and has organised international culture and business projects in ASEAN under TRCL.

Joel Ong

Business Analytics

Joel performs analyses to ascertain the feasibility of potential projects to facilitate managerial decision making. Prior to joining R-Initiatives, Joel held investment and corporate finance roles at two SGX mainboard-listed companies. Joel graduated cum laude from the Singapore Management University with a BBM and also has a MPAcc degree from the University of Sydney. He has obtained a professional diploma in Data Analytics from NUS Institute of Systems Science and is also currently pursuing a Masters degree in Enterprise Business Analytics at NUS.

Ang Hsin Hsien

Non-Executive Director

Hsien is one of the pioneer in Censof; being one of the few women that saw the evolution of IT to its current digital transformation across the industries. As an entrepreneur, she formally trained in Business Management and Finance and has over 25 years of experience managing multiple portfolios simultaneously – the business management, operations, as well as strategic business. Currently, she serves on Board of Censof and Dagang Nexchange (Dnex) in both the main Board and Audit Committee.

She heads the Group Business Development of Censof Holdings Berhad where she serves as the Executive Director with focus on customer support and developing new market opportunities for the Group, including overseeing the operations of Knowledgecom Corporation Sdn Bhd, in expanding its specialised professional up-skilling services. She is also a technology evangelist and works with partners to get the most out of new technology such as cloud, big data analytics the Internet of Things (IoT) and sees that digitalisation Industry 4.0 as the way forward for the country.

Kemalatha Nagalingam

Director

Kemalatha graduated from her ICSA studies in 1982 and obtained her Bachelor of Laws in 2004 from the University of London, England. She then pursued her LL.M at University of Malaya, Malaysia and successfully completed it in 2006. She has been lecturing law related subjects, namely Corporate Law, Business Law, Employment Law and Corporate Governance in the various Business and Accountancy programmes as well as Law programmes for the past 25 years in Segi University, Brickfields Asia College and Sunway University. She is also an examiner and moderator for the said subjects.

She is also involved in conducting various in — house corporate training programmes particularly in the area of company meetings, company directors and corporate governance matters. Currently, she is also the legal advisor for Censof Bhd, a public listed company in Bursa Malaysia and its subsidiaries, namely Knowledgecom Corporation Sdn Bhd and Asian Business Software Solution Sdn Bhd.

Alwin Ting

Chief Financial Officer

Alwin holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and started his career with KPMG Desa Megat in 1991. He went on to join SJ Securities Sdn Bhd and HLG Securities Sdn Bhd before being offered to join Spectrum Asset Management Sdn Bhd as the Acting General Manager in 1999. He has been instrumental in starting the company’s fund management operations by securing its fund management license.

In 2004 he joined an international medical support company Johnson Medical International Sdn Bhd as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. While there, he was responsible in strategizing and planning the direction of the company by drafting financial and investment budgets for the group which has branch and representative office in Singapore, India, and China. His past working experience has exposed him to the area of budgeting, financial planning, auditing, accounting, financial analysis, investment evaluation and financial management.

Jennie Ho

Place and Space Management Manager

Jennie graduated from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman Kuala Lumpur with a Bachelor of Information Technology (Communications and Networking) and has a nine years of career experience in market research industry. She started her career in Ipsos Sdn. Bhd. in 2010 with an expertise in data processing in various market research projects.

From 2013 to 2018, she joined another two international market research companies — Mintel Consulting (M) Sdn Bhd and Toluna (M) Sdn Bhd where she took up the Regional Coverage Manager & Senior Account Manager roles respectively.
In Mintel, she was primarily managing a group of field associates in the Asia Pacific region and ensuring adherence of all APAC countries to the global methodology. In Toluna, she was managing & servicing clients across the Asia Pacific region and encouraging adoption of Digital products as part of the industry’s changing trend.

Joel Santos

Chairman

Joel co-founded Thames International School, the country’s first British-based college program in 1999. The undergraduate and post graduate programs of Thames focus on Entrepreneurship, Technology and Creative Industries. His experience spans 25 years predominantly in marketing, business development, entrepreneurial management, and impact investment in industries such as consumer products, service industry, food & beverage, and education both in the Philippines and Singapore.  He has held management positions in various multinational companies such as P&G, Philippine Airlines, and Franklin Baker Inc. He ended his corporate career as CEO of the latter.

Joel finished his Legal Management degree in the Ateneo de Manila University and his Masters in Responsible Business Practice from the University of Bath UK.
